America was indebted to immigration for her settlement and prosperity. That part of America which had encouraged them most had advanced most rapidly in population, agriculture and the arts.

Our History

In the fall of 2006, six immigration lawyers gathered to form a network to raise money for pro-immigration candidates in the upcoming elections.  Tired of anti-immigrant rhetoric in the media, frustrated by the lack of a coherent immigration policy during the Clinton and Bush administrations, and deeply discouraged by Congress’ failure to enact comprehensive immigration reform in the spring of that year, these individuals decided it was time for action.  They called their new group Immigrants’ List, and in just one week raised $120,000.  Since then, Immigrants’ List has grown to 20,000 members, raised more than $350,000, and supported 19 candidates.

As Immigrants’ List’s message has spread, IL also has given a voice to Americans everywhere who support reforming our broken system and has helped to change the conversation in Washington.
