High School Sophomore - Chicago
I am a sophomore in high school. You know how bad it feels to know that I have no future in this country? I have good grades in school. I have A’s B’s and my GPA is 3.5, which is not bad.
I really want to go to college, but you should know why I can’t. I am not a resident or citizen of the U.S. We Hispanic ...“aliens” are the people that actually do want a future and want to be something in life. I know I’m only 15 years old, but I am mature and I know what happens! I really dislike the fact that we are afraid to speak out for ourselves! Even if you’re not Hispanic, we are afraid to speak out for what we want and deserve in this country!! No one deserves to be deported, taken away from their families. As an immigrant, I would like to speak out for each and every single one of us! (even if I’m only 15)
Well, we all have a future no matter what they say about us!! This is my story!
